The prominent Boardman family pewterers, of Hartford, CT, operated a retail outlet in New York City between 1825 & 1827 where they marketed the wares created in the their Connecticut workroom. The flagon has an undisturbed oxidized surface with a slight dent on the base. An identical example is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. 6” x 9” x 10.5” high.
